Contemporary extension in conservation area

This project comprising alterations to a semi-detached Edwardian House includes interior ground floor remodeling plus a single storey extension to the property to provide increased living accommodation with a light and airy contemporary feel.

A series of vertical etched glass fins concentrate the view in the direcion of the client's own garden, whilst the timber bris soleil controls solar gain in the summer, but allows light to filter into the internal space when the sun angle is lower during the winter.

The project was awarded a Bradford District Design Award and is now featured within the councils guidance documents for appropriate extensions within conservation areas.
