Redevelopment of Hinchliffes Farm to provide shop, restaurant and visitor facilities

Sense of Space have led the masterplanning and detailed design of the redevelopment of an expanding visitor attraction, based around a farm in Kirklees.

Following a devastating fire in 2010 which destroyed the original farm shop and restaurant, design work has been ongoing to the point that we have now gained planning approval for the first phase of the redevelopment. This will include a new farmshop, restaurant, function room and plant nursery. Future phases are likely to include a childrens' playbarn, cafe, open farm and educational experience.

Further information about Hinchliffes Farm is available at hinchliffes.com

In granting Planning Approval, Kirklees Councillors and Planning Officers described the proposal as "an excellent scheme".

Working closely with Savills Planning Consultancy, Sense of Space led the masterplanning and detailed design process for the new development to create an expanding visitor attraction, following a devastating fire in 2010 which destroyed much of the existing farm.

The design can be explored digitally using the model below.  Models of some of our other projects are available to explore on our Sketchfab page.
