DfE Architectural Technical Advisor Projects

Sense of Space have worked on projects where we have acted as part of a small team of client-side Technical Advisors to the DfE, completing RIBA Stages 1-6 in this role.

This scope of work includes preparation of Design Control Option, Feasibility Study, Adjacencies Diagrams and Schedule of Accommodation in line with BB103, contributing to the formation of a brief and two-staged tender to members of the Main Contractor Framework.

During the design development and construction, our role includes the provision of design and technical advice to the client body.

Alternative Provision Short Stay School

Sense of Space recently produced a Feasibility Report for the addition of another Short Stay School into the design scheme of a single-storey Alternative Provision Short Stay School, adapting the design to become a 2-storey scheme. This was undertaken by adding to the exisiting Schedule of Accommodation and rationalising the floor plans to accomodate the extra cohort of pupils in one combined school.
