Sense of Space have been providing expert support to members of the public at the Homebuilding and Renovating Show in Harrogate. Along with other members of the Association of Self Build Architects, we occupied two pitches including a "Meet the Architect" stand.

Throughout a three day period, we encountered numerous different design challenges ranging from large, new-build dwellings to the smallest of internal conversions, designed to accommodate nothing more than a washing machine. We hope that the process helped visitors to the show to understand how versatile Architects can be when working with projects of all sizes.



We are delighted to have been shortlisted in two categories for the Northern Design Awards 2011.

Apple Hayes, an eco-friendly new-build house in West Yorkshire, has already received awards this year and we are now hoping to add this prestigious title which is being judged by Sir Terence Conran and Wayne Hemingway, along with a number of leading industry experts.

Our design for Apple Hayes has been shortlisted in the Best Eco Build and Best Luxury New Build categories. Final judging takes place in November.
